The Montana State University Bobcats suffered a tough loss against the University of Utah Utes in a game that ended 5-2 in favor of the Utes. Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, the Utes proved to be the stronger team on the ice at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.

The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots on goal, compared to the Bobcats’ 31. The Bobcats had two powerplay opportunities but were unable to capitalize on either. Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, had a solid performance, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the other hand, Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, saved 33 out of 38 shots.

The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was a standout player, scoring two goals during the game. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to score one goal.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game. They will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team is eager to bounce back and secure a victory in their upcoming match.
