The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes last night at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score was a disappointing 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, firing off an impressive 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense struggled to contain the Antelopes, who managed to convert one out of three powerplays. The Bobcats, on the other hand, were unable to capitalize on their two powerplay opportunities.
Goalkeeping was a crucial factor in the game with the Antelopes’ Annika Olson saving 18 out of 19 shots. The Bobcats’ goalie, Emma Carlson, had a busy night with 64 shots coming her way. Despite her valiant efforts, she managed to save only 57 of them.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. For the Bobcats, the lone goal came from #20 Marin Snyder.
