The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game last night at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, losing to the Grand Canyon University Antelopes with a final score of 7-1.

The Antelopes dominated the game from the get-go, managing to fire off an impressive 64 shots. The Bobcats, on the other hand, managed only 19 shots. This disparity in offensive pressure clearly made a difference in the game’s outcome.

The Antelopes’ power play unit also had a solid performance, converting one of their three opportunities. The Bobcats, meanwhile, were unable to capitalize on their two power play chances, further contributing to their defeat.

In the net, the Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a relatively easy night, facing just 19 shots and making 18 saves. The Bobcats’ Emma Carlson had a much busier game, facing a barrage of 64 shots and making 57 saves.

The standout player for the Antelopes was #12 Jennae Szucs, who netted a hat trick. On the Bobcats’ side, #20 Marin Snyder managed to score the lone goal for the team.

The Bobcats will look to bounce back in their next game, using this loss as a learning opportunity to improve their performance.
