The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game yesterday against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes, ultimately falling with a final score of 7-1. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, where the Bobcats struggled to keep up with the Antelopes’ aggressive play.

The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, taking 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense was put to the test, with goalie Emma Carlson facing a barrage of shots. Despite saving 57, the relentless Antelope offense managed to get 7 past her.

On the other end of the rink, Antelopes’ goalie Annika Olson had a quieter night, facing only 19 shots and saving 18. The Bobcats’ lone goal came from #20 Marin Snyder, providing a glimmer of hope in an otherwise challenging game.

The Antelopes’ power play also proved to be more effective, scoring once in three attempts, while the Bobcats were unable to capitalize on their two power play opportunities.

The star of the game was undoubtedly Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who netted an impressive hat trick, contributing significantly to her team’s victory.

Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats will take this as a learning experience and look to bounce back in their next game. The team remains hopeful and focused on improving their performance.
