The Montana State University Bobcats roared to victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes in a thrilling game at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026. The final score saw the Bobcats triumphing 4-1 over the Pokes.
Despite being outshot by the Pokes 55 to 35, the Bobcats demonstrated their defensive prowess, with Reese McConnell in goal putting up an impressive performance. McConnell faced 55 shots and saved 54, proving instrumental in securing the victory for the Bobcats. On the other side of the rink, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed 31 saves out of 35 shots.
Neither team was successful on the power play, with the Pokes going 0 for 3 and the Bobcats 0 for 4. This didn’t stop the Bobcats from finding the back of the net, however, with Nicola Roberts (#26) scoring a crucial goal.
The Pokes’ lone goal was scored by Zoey Brown (#2), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bobcats’ lead.
The Bobcats will look to continue their winning streak at home against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Be sure to catch the action as the Bobcats aim to keep their momentum going.
