The Montana State University Bobcats secured a decisive victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes last night at the Haynes Pavilion, with a final score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count of 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats showed their prowess in defense and offense.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had an outstanding performance with 54 saves out of 55 shots, contributing significantly to their win. On the other hand, Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, saved 31 out of 35 shots.
Both teams had opportunities with powerplays, but neither could capitalize on them. The Pokes were 0 for 3, while the Bobcats were 0 for 4.
The Bobcats’ #26, Nicola Roberts, and the Pokes’ #2, Zoey Brown, both made their mark on the scoreboard with a goal each. Roberts’ goal added to the Bobcats’ lead, while Brown’s goal was the only one for the Pokes.
