In a thrilling match played at the Haynes Pavilion on 7th February 2026, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes taking an impressive 55 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 35, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities and convert them into goals.

The Pokes, though they had a higher number of shots, were unable to make any of their three powerplay opportunities count. The Bobcats, on the other hand, also had four powerplay chances but failed to capitalize on them. The game was characterized by strong defensive play, with both teams shutting out the other’s powerplay attempts.

The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, was in top form, saving 54 of the 55 shots from the Pokes. On the other hand, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 of the 35 shots from the Bobcats.

For the Pokes, Zoey Brown (#2) scored the lone goal. Meanwhile, Nicola Roberts (#26) was the standout performer for the Bobcats, scoring one of their four goals.
