The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes last night, ending in a 7-1 defeat for the Bobcats. The match took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, where the Antelopes dominated the ice.

The Antelopes outshot the Bobcats 64-19, illustrating their offensive dominance throughout the game. Despite the disparity in shots, Bobcats goalie Emma Carlson put up a valiant effort, making 57 saves out of the 64 shots. Antelopes goalie Annika Olson, on the other hand, had a quieter night with 18 saves out of 19 shots.

The powerplay opportunities also favored the Antelopes, who managed to convert 1 out of their 3 chances. The Bobcats, unfortunately, couldn’t capitalize on their 2 powerplay opportunities.

Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, was the star of the game with a hat trick, scoring 3 goals. On the Bobcats side, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one on the board, scoring the only goal for the team.

While the Bobcats put up a fight, the Antelopes’ relentless offense proved too much to handle. The Bobcats will look to bounce back in their next game, learning from this tough loss.
