In a riveting game of hockey, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game took place on the 7th of February, 2026 at the Haynes Pavilion, and it was an intense battle from start to finish.

Despite the Pokes having a higher number of shots on goal at 55, compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats proved that quality trumps quantity. The Pokes failed to convert any of their three powerplays into goals, while the Bobcats also drew a blank in their four attempts.

In the goalie showdown, Pudgie Sabinash of the Pokes managed to save 31 out of 35 shots, but it was Reese McConnell of the Bobcats who stole the show with an impressive 54 saves out of 55 shots.
