In an impressive display of skill and determination, the Montana State University Bobcats clinched a decisive 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes on Monday night at Haynes Pavilion.
Despite being outshot with 55 shots to 35, the Bobcats demonstrated their defensive prowess, with goalie Reese McConnell making a whopping 54 saves out of 55 shots. On the other side of the rink, Pokes goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed 31 saves out of 35 shots.
In terms of powerplay, both teams had their struggles, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats slightly worse at 0/4. However, the Bobcats managed to capitalize on their opportunities, ultimately leading to their victory.
Standout players of the match include Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts, both contributing one goal each to their respective teams.
