The Montana State University Bobcats have once again proven their prowess on the ice, this time against the University of Wyoming Pokes. The Bobcats dominated the game, ending with a decisive 4-1 victory. The game took place at the Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026.
The Pokes put up a tough fight, managing to take 55 shots at the Bobcats’ goal. However, the Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, was on top of his game, saving an impressive 54 out of 55 shots. The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots and managed to save 31.
Despite the Pokes having more shots, the Bobcats made their shots count. The star of the game was undoubtedly Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts, who scored a crucial goal. The Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown also made her mark on the game, scoring the team’s only goal.
Neither team was able to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4. This didn’t stop the Bobcats from securing their victory, though.
The Bobcats will be looking to carry this momentum into their next game, which is a home game against the University of Utah. The game will take place on Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. Be sure to tune in and support our Bobcats as they continue their winning streak.
