The Montana State University Bobcats continued their winning streak with a 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes at Haynes Pavilion on February 7th, 2026. Despite the Pokes having 55 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the home team’s defense proved to be impenetrable.

The Pokes were unable to capitalize on their three powerplay opportunities, while the Bobcats also drew a blank in their four powerplay chances. The game’s standout performer was Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell, who made a staggering 54 saves from 55 shots, only letting in a single goal. His counterpart, Pudgie Sabinash of the Pokes, managed 31 saves from 35 shots.

The only goal for the Pokes came from #2 Zoey Brown, while #26 Nicola Roberts netted one for the Bobcats. Despite the Pokes’ aggressive play and numerous shots, the Bobcats’ defense and McConnell’s stellar performance in goal kept them at bay.

The Bobcats now look forward to their next game, a home match against the University of Utah on February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team will be hoping to continue their impressive form and secure another victory.
