Last night at Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a decisive 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes. Despite the Pokes firing off 55 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats’ defense held strong, ensuring a win for the home team.

The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had a stellar performance, saving 54 out of the 55 shots he faced. The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced a total of 35 shots, saving 31.

Powerplay opportunities for both teams proved futile, with the Pokes going 0 for 3 and the Bobcats 0 for 4.

The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown, while the Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts also found the back of the net.

The Bobcats’ next game will be a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Bobcats will be looking to continue their winning streak and further solidify their position in the league.
