In a fiercely contested game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats were handed a tough loss by the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. The final score was a disappointing 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes.

The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, with a staggering 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. Despite the Bobcats’ best defensive efforts, the Antelopes managed to convert these opportunities into a significant lead.

The powerplay statistics also favored the Antelopes, who managed to convert one of their three opportunities. The Bobcats, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on their two powerplay chances.

In the goalie showdown, Antelopes’ Annika Olson outshone Bobcats’ Emma Carlson, saving 18 out of 19 shots. Carlson, despite facing a barrage of shots, managed to save 57 out of 64, demonstrating commendable resilience.

The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. The Bobcats’ sole goal came from #20, Marin Snyder, who provided a glimmer of hope for the team.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed determination and resilience. The team will look to regroup and come back stronger in their next game.
