Montana State University Bobcats secured a convincing 4-1 victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7, 2026. The game, held at Haynes Pavilion, saw the Bobcats rise to the occasion despite being outshot by the Pokes.

The Pokes took a total of 55 shots, while the Bobcats had 35 shots on goal. However, the Bobcats’ superior defense and exceptional goaltending by Reese McConnell, who saved 54 out of 55 shots, ensured their victory. The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, managed to save 31 out of 35 shots on his net.

Neither team was able to capitalize on their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0 for 3 and the Bobcats 0 for 4. This did not deter the Bobcats from finding the back of the net four times, with #26 Nicola Roberts contributing one of the goals. The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown.

The Bobcats’ next game will be a home game against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. The team will be looking to continue their winning momentum and secure another victory.
