In a thrilling face-off last night at the Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University (MSU) Bobcats emerged victorious over the University of Wyoming Pokes, with a final score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes taking more shots at the goal, the Bobcats demonstrated superior defense and tactical prowess.

The Pokes, who took 55 shots, were only able to net one goal, courtesy of #2 Zoey Brown. On the other hand, the Bobcats, with 35 shots, managed to score four times, showcasing their efficiency. One of the goals was skillfully executed by #26 Nicola Roberts.

In terms of power play, both teams struggled to capitalize. The Pokes had three opportunities but failed to convert any, while the Bobcats couldn’t make the most out of their four chances.

The goaltending was a key factor in this game. Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced 35 shots, managing to save 31. However, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was the star of the night, saving an impressive 54 out of 55 shots.

The Bobcats will carry this momentum into their next game, a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. Stay tuned for more exciting Bobcat hockey action.
