The Montana State University Bobcats secured a decisive victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes in a gripping match that ended 4-1 in favor of the Bobcats. The game took place at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026, and saw an impressive display of skill and strategy from both teams.

Despite the Pokes taking more shots at the goal, the Bobcats’ defense was impenetrable, with their goalie Reese McConnell making a staggering 54 saves out of 55 shots. On the other hand, the Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.

Both teams had their chances with powerplays, but neither could convert these opportunities into goals. The Pokes had three powerplays, and the Bobcats had four, but both teams remained scoreless in these situations.

The game saw some exceptional individual performances, with Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts both scoring a goal each.

The Bobcats will be looking to continue their winning streak in their next game against the University of Utah. The game is scheduled for February 20 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s keep cheering for our Bobcats!
