The Montana State University Bobcats marked a triumphant victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes, in a game that ended with a score of Pokes 1 – Bobcats 4. The riveting match took place at the Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026.
Despite the Pokes taking more shots at the goal, 55 in total, compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats emerged victorious. Both teams struggled with their powerplays, with the Pokes at 0/3 and the Bobcats at 0/4.
The goalies for both teams put up a fierce fight. Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, made 31 saves out of 35 shots, while Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell demonstrated an impressive performance with 54 saves out of 55 shots.
The highlights of the game were the goals scored by Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts, both contributing a goal each to their respective teams.
The Bobcats are now looking forward to their next game, a home match against the University of Utah. The game is scheduled for Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
