The Montana State University Bobcats sealed a decisive victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1 on February 7, 2026. The game, which took place at the Haynes Pavilion, saw the Pokes take a staggering 55 shots, but only one found its way past the formidable Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell.

Despite being outshot by the Pokes, the Bobcats made their 35 shots count, with Nicola Roberts (#26) contributing to the scoreline. The Bobcats’ powerplay didn’t manage to convert any of their four opportunities, but their defense stood strong, denying all three of the Pokes’ powerplay attempts.

Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced a barrage of 35 shots, managing to save 31. However, it was Bobcats’ Reese McConnell who truly shone between the pipes, turning away an impressive 54 of the 55 shots he faced.

Zoey Brown (#2) of the Pokes managed to score their only goal, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against the dominant Bobcats.

The Bobcats are set to continue their campaign at home against the University of Utah on February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink (CO). With their recent victory, the Bobcats are sure to carry the momentum into the next game.
