In a thrilling face-off last night at the Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University Bobcats secured an impressive 4-1 victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes. Despite the Pokes dominating the ice with 55 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 35, it was the latter’s superior precision and strategy that led them to victory.
The Pokes, despite their best efforts, couldn’t capitalize on their 3 power plays, while the Bobcats also fell short in their 4 power plays. The game was a true testament to the defensive prowess of both teams, with neither side able to convert their power plays into goals.
In the goaltending department, Pudgie Sabinash of the Pokes faced 35 shots and made 31 saves, while Reese Mcconnell of the Bobcats had a standout performance, facing a whopping 55 shots and making an incredible 54 saves.
The goal scorers of the match were Zoey Brown of the Pokes and Nicola Roberts of the Bobcats, both adding a goal to their respective teams’ tallies.
