The Montana State University (MSU) Bobcats came out victorious in a thrilling game against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7, 2026. The Bobcats displayed a dominant performance, securing a 4-1 win at the Haynes Pavilion.
Despite the Pokes taking more shots at the goal, a total of 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the latter proved more efficient in converting their opportunities. The Pokes’ powerplay couldn’t capitalize on their 3 chances, while the Bobcats also failed to convert any of their 4 opportunities.
The goalkeeping was a decisive factor in the game, with MSU’s Reese McConnell pulling off an impressive 54 saves out of 55 shots. On the other hand, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.
Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts and Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown each scored a goal, contributing to their respective teams’ tallies. However, it was the Bobcats who had the last laugh, courtesy of their superior goal conversion.
The Bobcats will look to carry forward this momentum into their next game against the University of Utah. The game is scheduled to be held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink (CO) on Friday, February 20. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s continue to cheer for our Bobcats!
