The Montana State University Bobcats celebrated a decisive victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes last night at the Haynes Pavilion. The final score was a commanding 4-1 in favor of the Bobcats.
Despite the Pokes outshooting the Bobcats 55 to 35, the Bobcats demonstrated superior defense and goaltending. Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, put up a stellar performance, saving 54 out of the 55 shots fired by the Pokes. On the other hand, Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, managed to save only 31 out of 35 shots.
The game was a tough battle, with neither team managing to convert on their powerplays. The Pokes went 0 for 3, while the Bobcats went 0 for 4.
In terms of individual performances, Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts each netted a goal. However, it was the Bobcats who emerged victorious, thanks to their robust defense and stellar goaltending.
