In a thrilling display of ice hockey, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game took place on the 7th of February, 2026 at Haynes Pavilion.

Despite the Pokes taking a whopping 55 shots, they managed to convert only one into a goal, thanks to the exceptional performance of the Bobcats’ goalie, Reese Mcconnell. Mcconnell faced a barrage of shots but managed to save 54 of them, demonstrating his skills and determination.

On the other hand, the Bobcats were more efficient with their shots. They took 35 shots and converted four into goals, showing their precision and accuracy. The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, was kept busy throughout the match, making 31 saves.

The powerplay for both teams proved to be ineffective, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. Despite the lack of success, the intensity and competitiveness of the match were not diminished.

The goal scorers for the match were Zoey Brown for the Pokes and Nicola Roberts for the Bobcats. Both players showed great skill and determination to break through the opposition’s defense.

The Bobcats are now looking forward to their next game against the University of Utah on February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. They will be hoping to carry forward the momentum from this victory and continue their winning streak.
