The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss against the University of Utah Utes last night, with a final score of 5-2. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, and despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, the Utes managed to maintain control throughout the match.
The Utes fired off an impressive 38 shots, while the Bobcats managed 31. However, the Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell, made a commendable effort with 33 saves out of 38 shots. On the other hand, the Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, had a slightly easier night with 29 saves out of 31 shots.
The Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/2, while the Utes did not get a chance to show their powerplay skills, ending the game with a 0/0 record.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, shone brightly with 2 goals, leading her team to victory. On the Bobcats’ side, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to score 1 goal, showing great potential for future games.
