In a hard-fought game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats fell 5-2 to the University of Utah Utes. Despite the Bobcats’ valiant efforts, the Utes were able to secure a victory on the ice last night.

The Utes outshot the Bobcats 38-31, but Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell put up a strong defense with 33 saves. Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano also had a solid performance, facing 31 shots and saving 29.

The Bobcats had a couple of powerplay opportunities but were unable to convert them into goals, while the Utes did not have any powerplay in this game.

Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley emerged as a standout player with 2 goals. On the Bobcats’ side, #18 Elly Aldrich scored a goal, adding to the team’s score.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game. They will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Bobcats are eager to bounce back and showcase their skills in the upcoming game.
