In an energetic game held at CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20th, the Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging defeat against the University of Utah Utes. The final score rested at a disappointing 5-2 for the Bobcats, with the Utes taking a well-earned victory.
The Utes dominated the game with a total of 38 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 31. Despite the Bobcats having two powerplay opportunities, they were unable to convert these chances into goals. The Utes, on the other hand, didn’t have any powerplay opportunities in this game.
The goalies for both teams put up a valiant fight. Utes’ Miranda De Antunano saved 29 out of 31 shots, while the Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell saved 33 out of 38 shots.
The star player for the Utes was undoubtedly #12 Morgan Lavalley who scored an impressive two goals. On the Bobcats’ side, #18 Elly Aldrich was able to put one on the scoreboard.
