The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss against the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2 on February 20, 2026. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
Despite the Bobcats’ strong effort, the Utes managed to secure a win with 38 shots against Bobcats’ 31. Even though the Bobcats had two powerplay opportunities, they were unable to convert these into goals. On the other hand, the Utes didn’t get any powerplay but still managed to score five goals.
The goalkeeping from both teams was commendable. Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, faced 31 shots and made an impressive 29 saves. On the other side, Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was kept busy with 38 shots, making 33 saves.
The star player of the match was undoubtedly Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who scored two goals. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to score one goal.
