The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss on home ice against the University of Utah Utes this past Sunday, with a final score of 5-2. The game, held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado, showcased intense competition and impressive performances from both teams.

The Utes managed to pull ahead with a total of 38 shots on goal, while the Bobcats trailed slightly with 31 shots. Despite the Bobcats’ strong efforts, the Utes’ defense proved to be formidable. Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano showed her prowess in the net, fending off 29 of the Bobcats’ attempts. On the other side of the rink, Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell made 33 saves out of the Utes’ 38 shots.

In terms of powerplays, the Bobcats had two opportunities but unfortunately couldn’t convert either into a goal. The Utes, on the other hand, didn’t have any powerplay opportunities during the game.

The game’s standout players were Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who netted 2 goals, and Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz, who managed to score one goal for his team.
