The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes in a high-intensity game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink this past Sunday. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats were defeated 5-2 in a match that saw the Utes dominate the ice.
The Utes had 38 shots on goal, while the Bobcats managed 31. On the powerplay, the Utes didn’t get a chance, while the Bobcats had two opportunities but were unable to capitalize on them.
In goal, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano had an impressive performance, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the other end of the ice, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell also put on a strong display, making 33 saves on 38 shots.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was a standout player, scoring two goals for her team. For the Bobcats, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to find the back of the net once.
The Bobcats will look to rebound from this loss in their next game. They will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21st at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Be sure to come out and support our Bobcats as they fight to reclaim their winning streak.
