The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough game against the University of Utah Utes on Sunday, February 20, 2026. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats fell to the Utes with a final score of 5-2 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.

The Utes managed to fire off 38 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 31. However, the Bobcats’ powerplay was more active, with two attempts, though they were unable to capitalize on either. The Utes did not have any powerplay opportunities in the game.

In the goal, Utes’ Miranda De Antunano had a strong game, with 29 saves out of 31 shots. On the Bobcats’ side, Reese McConnell made 33 saves out of 38 shots.

The Utes’ Morgan Lavalley was the standout player of the match, scoring 2 goals, while Elly Aldrich was the lone goal scorer for the Bobcats.
