The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the University of Utah Utes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink last night. The final score saw the Utes taking the victory with a 5-2 lead over the Bobcats.

The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots, while the Bobcats put up a fight with 31 shots. The Bobcats had two powerplays but were unable to capitalize on either, while the Utes did not have any powerplay opportunities.

In the goalie matchup, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots and made 29 saves. On the other side, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was kept busy with 38 shots, making 33 saves.

The Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley was the standout player of the match, netting two goals. For the Bobcats, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to put one in the back of the net.

Despite the defeat, the Bobcats look forward to their next game, a home match against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21. The game will once again take place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Bobcats will be looking to bounce back and secure a win in front of their home crowd.
