The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes this past Sunday in a game that was brimming with tension and excitement. Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats were ultimately defeated by the Utes with a final score of 5-2 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.

Both teams showcased their offensive prowess, with the Utes taking 38 shots and the Bobcats not far behind with 31. The Bobcats’ defense, led by goalie Reese McConnell, managed to save 33 of the Utes’ attempts. However, the Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, outperformed with 29 saves out of 31 shots.

The Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/2, while the Utes did not have any powerplay opportunities. The game’s top performers included Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who scored two goals, and Bobcats’ #18 Elly Aldrich, who managed to put one in the net.
