It was a challenging night for the Montana State University Bobcats as they faced off against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score was a 7-1 victory for the Antelopes, a tough pill to swallow for the Bobcats.

The Antelopes dominated the game from the onset, putting up an impressive 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense was put to the test, with goalie Emma Carlson facing a barrage of shots. Despite making 57 saves, the Antelopes’ explosive offense proved too much.

The special teams also struggled, with the Bobcats failing to convert on both of their powerplay opportunities. On the other hand, the Antelopes capitalized on one of their three powerplay chances, further extending their lead.

Annika Olson, the Antelopes’ goalie, had a significantly quieter night, facing only 19 shots and making 18 saves. A standout performance came from the Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who netted 3 goals, contributing significantly to the team’s victory.

The lone bright spot for the Bobcats came from #20 Marin Snyder, who managed to put one in the back of the net, providing the team with their only goal of the night.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats will look to regroup and come back stronger in their next game. They’ll be looking to tighten up their defense and create more scoring opportunities. As always, the team appreciates the continued support from their fans.
