The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, with the Antelopes emerging victorious at a 7-1 final score.

The Antelopes came out strong, dominating the ice with a total of 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. Their powerplay was effective, scoring on one of their three opportunities. The Bobcats struggled to find their rhythm, failing to convert on either of their two powerplay chances.

In the net, the Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a solid performance, blocking 18 of the 19 shots. On the other end, the Bobcats’ Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of 64 attempts.

Offensively, the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, was the standout player of the game, scoring a hat trick. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one past the Antelopes’ goalie, scoring the lone goal for the team.

Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats showed determination and resilience. The team will now focus on their upcoming games, working on their defense and powerplay execution. They will be looking to bounce back stronger in their next face-off.
