The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, on February 21, 2026. The Antelopes dominated the game, securing a 7-1 victory over the Bobcats.
The Antelopes had a staggering 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. They also capitalized on their powerplay opportunities, scoring once in three attempts. The Bobcats, on the other hand, were unable to convert any of their two powerplays into goals.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Emma Carlson, faced a barrage of shots, saving 57 out of the 64 attempts by the Antelopes. On the other end, Annika Olson, the Antelopes’ goalie, had a relatively easier night, saving 18 out of the 19 shots by the Bobcats.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. On the Bobcats’ side, Marin Snyder managed to score the team’s only goal.
Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed resilience and will be looking to bounce back in their next game.
