The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough challenge against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink last night. The game ended in a disappointing 7-1 defeat for the Bobcats.

The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, taking a staggering 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense struggled to keep up with the Antelopes’ relentless attack. Bobcats’ goalie, Emma Carlson, had a busy night with 57 saves out of 64 shots.

The Antelopes’ powerplay was successful 1 out of 3 times, while the Bobcats couldn’t convert any of their 2 powerplay opportunities.

In the net for the Antelopes, Annika Olson had a relatively quiet night, facing only 19 shots and making 18 saves.

The standout player of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to get one past Olson, scoring the only goal for the team.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed their fighting spirit and will look to bounce back in their next game. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s continue to support our Bobcats!
