The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss against the University of Utah Utes, with the final score settling at 5-2. The match took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20th, 2026.
The Utes dominated the game with a total of 38 shots, five of which found the back of the net. The Bobcats, on the other hand, managed 31 shots with only two successful attempts. The Bobcats’ powerplay was not as effective as they would have liked, going 0 for 2, while the Utes did not have any powerplay opportunities.
In the goaltending department, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots and made an impressive 29 saves. On the other side of the rink, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was kept busy with 38 shots, managing to save 33.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, had a standout performance, scoring two goals. For the Bobcats, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to score one goal.
