The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Antelopes came out strong, leaving the Bobcats with a final score of 7-1.
The Antelopes dominated the game with a total of 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. They also had a successful powerplay, scoring once in three attempts. In contrast, the Bobcats struggled to find their footing, failing to score in two powerplay opportunities.
The Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a stellar performance, blocking 18 of the 19 shots by the Bobcats. On the other hand, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, managing to save 57 out of 64.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. The lone goal for the Bobcats was netted by #20, Marin Snyder.
