In a challenging face-off at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes, with a final score of 5-2. The game, which took place on February 20, 2026, saw the Utes taking 38 shots, seven more than the Bobcats’ 31.
Despite the Bobcats having two powerplays, they were unable to convert them into goals, while the Utes didn’t have any powerplay opportunities. The Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, managed to save 29 of the 31 shots taken by the Bobcats. On the other end, Reese McConnell of the Bobcats saved 33 out of the 38 shots taken by the Utes.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was the star of the game, scoring two goals. On the Bobcats’ side, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to put one in the net.
