In a thrilling face-off at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats were bested by the University of Utah Utes. The final score was Utes 5, Bobcats 2. Despite the loss, the Bobcats put up a commendable fight, with a total of 31 shots compared to the Utes’ 38.
The Utes’ powerplay was 0/0, while the Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/2. In the goalie department, Utes’ Miranda De Antunano showcased a stellar performance with 29 saves out of 31 shots. On the other side, Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell made 33 saves out of 38 shots.
Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley was the star of the show, scoring two goals. The Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz didn’t disappoint either, scoring a goal for his team.
Despite the defeat, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game. They will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Bobcats are eager to bounce back and give their fans an exciting game.
