The Montana State University Bobcats took a hard hit yesterday in their game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. The match, held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, ended in a 7-1 victory for the Antelopes.
The Antelopes dominated the game with a total of 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. They also outperformed the Bobcats in powerplays, with a 1/3 success rate while the Bobcats failed to convert any of their two opportunities.
Goalie Annika Olson of the Antelopes had a stellar performance, saving 18 of the 19 shots taken by the Bobcats. On the other hand, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of 64.
The star of the match was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored an impressive hat trick. The Bobcats’ only goal came from #20 Marin Snyder.
