In a hard-fought match on February 21st, 2026, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough defeat against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. The final score was an overwhelming 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, taking a total of 64 shots on goal compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats’ defense was under constant pressure, with goalie Emma Carlson facing a barrage of shots. Despite her best efforts, making 57 saves, the Antelopes managed to slip 7 goals past her.
On the other side of the ice, Antelopes’ goalie Annika Olson had a quieter night, facing only 19 shots and saving 18 of them.
The powerplay situations didn’t favor the Bobcats either, with the team failing to convert any of their two opportunities. The Antelopes, on the other hand, made good use of their three chances, scoring once.
The star of the match was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored a hat trick. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to score the only goal, providing a small consolation in an otherwise challenging game.
Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed fighting spirit and will be looking to bounce back in their next game.
