The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging defeat on home ice against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes with a final score of 7-1. The game took place on February 21, 2026, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, taking a total of 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. Their aggressive offense resulted in a significant goal difference, with Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs scoring a hat trick.
Despite the onslaught, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson put up a valiant fight, saving 57 out of the 64 shots. Unfortunately, the Bobcats’ offense couldn’t match the intensity, with only #20 Marin Snyder managing to put one in the net.
The Bobcats’ powerplay struggled throughout the game, failing to capitalize on two opportunities. In contrast, the Antelopes converted one of their three powerplays, adding to their lead.
The Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a relatively easy night, facing 19 shots and saving 18.
