In a challenging match at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2 on February 20, 2026.
The Utes dominated the game, firing 38 shots towards the Bobcats’ net. Despite the Bobcats’ solid defense and 31 shots on the Utes’ net, the team couldn’t close the gap. The Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, performed exceptionally, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the other hand, the Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, also put up a commendable fight, saving 33 out of 38 shots.
The Bobcats had a couple of opportunities to turn the game around with two powerplays, but unfortunately, they couldn’t capitalize on them. The Utes didn’t have any powerplay opportunities in this game.
Highlighting individual performances, the Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley stood out with 2 goals. From the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich scored a goal, adding some excitement to the game.
