The Montana State University Bobcats put on a spectacular performance on the ice against the University of Wyoming Pokes, ending the game with a 4-1 victory. The match took place at the Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026.

Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count of 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats proved that quality trumps quantity. The Pokes were unable to capitalize on any of their three powerplays, while the Bobcats also drew a blank on their four opportunities.

In the goalie showdown, Pudgie Sabinash of the Pokes faced 35 shots and made 31 saves. On the other hand, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was a wall, facing a barrage of 55 shots and making an impressive 54 saves.

The scoring for the Pokes was limited to a lone goal by #2 Zoey Brown. However, the Bobcats responded with a goal from #26 Nicola Roberts among others, securing their victory.
