The Montana State University Bobcats put up a sterling performance last night, defeating the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1 at the Haynes Pavilion. Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count of 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats were more efficient, scoring four times.

The Pokes were unable to convert any of their three powerplays into goals, while the Bobcats also drew a blank, failing to score in their four powerplay opportunities. Goalkeeping played a crucial role in the match. Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, saved 31 out of 35 shots while Bobcats’ Reese McConnell put up an impressive performance, saving 54 out of 55 shots.

For the Pokes, Zoey Brown (#2) managed to score a solitary goal. On the Bobcats side, Nicola Roberts (#26) found the back of the net, contributing to the team’s victory.

The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game. They will be playing at home against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. Be sure to tune in and support our Bobcats as they continue their winning streak!
