The Montana State University Bobcats delivered a stunning performance against the University of Wyoming Pokes last night at Haynes Pavilion, with a final score of 4-1 in favor of the Bobcats.

Despite being outshot by the Pokes 55-35, the Bobcats’ defense was exceptional, with goalie Reese McConnell making a staggering 54 saves out of 55 shots. Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots, managing to save 31.

Both teams struggled with powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. However, the Bobcats capitalized on their opportunities, with #26 Nicola Roberts scoring a crucial goal. For the Pokes, #2 Zoey Brown managed to put one past McConnell for their sole goal of the night.

The Bobcats will ride this wave of momentum into their next game, a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. Let’s hope they keep the winning streak alive. Go Bobcats!
