On February 21, the Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, Colorado. The Bobcats had a challenging night, with the Antelopes dominating the game and ultimately winning with a score of 7-1.
The Antelopes came out strong, firing off an impressive 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. Their powerplay was also more effective, scoring 1 out of their 3 attempts, while the Bobcats struggled to capitalize on their two powerplay opportunities.
In the net, the Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a solid performance, saving 18 out of 19 shots. On the other hand, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of 64 attempts.
The star of the match was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who netted a hat trick, contributing significantly to her team’s victory. On the Bobcats’ side, #20 Marin Snyder managed to score the lone goal for her team.
