The Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious in a thrilling game against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7th, 2026, at the Haynes Pavilion. Despite the Pokes’ 55 shots on goal, the Bobcats held their ground, securing a 4-1 victory with just 35 shots on goal.
The Pokes’ powerplay failed to convert on three occasions, while the Bobcats also missed out on four powerplay opportunities. But it was the Bobcats’ superior defense and accurate shooting that carried the day.
Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced a barrage of 35 shots and managed to save 31, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Bobcats’ attack. On the other end of the ice, Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell put on a stellar performance, saving 54 of the 55 shots he faced.
In terms of individual performances, Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts both managed to find the back of the net, contributing to the final scoreline.
The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game, a home fixture against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. As the Bobcats continue their winning streak, fans will be eagerly awaiting the next game.
