The Montana State University Bobcats took a convincing 4-1 victory against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7th, 2026 at the Haynes Pavilion. In a game that saw the Pokes outshoot the Bobcats by a margin of 55 to 35, the Bobcats demonstrated their efficiency in front of the net.
Despite having fewer shots, the Bobcats capitalized on their opportunities, scoring four times on just 35 attempts. On the other hand, the Pokes were unable to convert their attempts into goals, managing only one goal from their 55 shots. Both teams struggled with their powerplay, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4.
The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, had a challenging night, saving 31 out of 35 shots. On the other end of the ice, Bobcats’ Reese McConnell put on a stellar performance, saving 54 out of 55 shots.
For the Pokes, Zoey Brown (#2) was the sole goal scorer. Nicola Roberts (#26) found the back of the net for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game against the University of Utah. The game will be held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink (CO) on Friday, February 20th. Make sure to come out and support our Bobcats as they continue their winning streak.
